How to Publish a Deck

This page describes how to publish a deck, and how to make these decks public.

Stargate Players: In order to publish a deck you must be running Deckviewer version 2.8.2 or later. Without this version some of the cards in your deck may not publish properly.

To publsh a deck use the Publish Selected Deck button at the bottom of the Deck Viewer tab in the Deck Viewer program. This button will send the deck that is currently selected in Deck Viewer to http://kitsdb.com.

As soon as a deck is published you can view it at your player page, by default decks are "hidden" and will only show up on your player page for you, and you cannot see them unless you are logged in. Once you are logged in you can visit your player page by clicking on the link "'s Personal Page" in the upper left hand corner.

You can go to your Personal page by clicking Your Personal Page as shown here.

When you are logged in and have visited your personal page you should see your published decks.

You can now click on the name of the deck to see the deck, if the deck is yours and you are logged in you will get editing controls. These controls will allow you to:

All public decks will be visible on the deck list page, or when the deck is relevent to the current context. For example all decks using the card will be displayed on the showcard page. Hidden decks will not be shown unless the user navigates to that deck directly. If you want to email a deck to your friend you can publish it, leave it hidden and email them the URL. Anyone can view any deck, if they have the URL that it belongs to, so a hidden deck is not really private, it is simply not shown during public searches. My hope is that this facility will make it easier for people to share decks, some ways you may find this useful:

I hope you find this new functionality useful, let me know if you have any questions "deckviewer@kitsdb.com".
