| Teal'c never has to be drawn, giving him a strong ability. Effectively like Garshaw (Grand Councillor), without a power cost! After he gets both glyphs Teal'c can 'UP' costs by 2, instead of just 1. Linked with Garshaw, the +3 makes complications impossible to play. 'So what about Obstacles?' Carter! (Samantha Carter (Problem Solver) or Samantha Carter (Invaluable Asset)) Either Carter works. No one (!but Khonsu!-thanks dannee) has a complimentary text like common Carter. Effectively 'UP'ing complication costs by another point. Make sure protect glyphs with Tight-knit Team! Your opponent will use Information Leak & Mind Probe if you're not careful. Ok! For a reminder, Nice Shot isn't good with Teal'c. Teal'c is an SGC, not a Jaffa. (This tricked me when I started playing) He works with Quick Study and Satterfield (Academy Graduate). Even Receiving a Go!...though I wouldn't recomend it. Go on and assign Teal'c, even if his skill doesn't add. On a Science mission he still adds complication cost. Afterwards play Goofing Off to unassign him! 'what about lots of cheap obstacles?' Use something to increase obstacle costs! Like Gairwyn (Cimmerian Ally) or P90. Don't forget Ill-Gotten Gains to pull the P90! )( During a science mission - of course )( |

The common Teal'c is a good team member, especially for budget players. He got a good 4 cost, and he has a passive ability for either glyph he needs. When he is assigned with both glyphs, you will hardly ever see a complication hit the table. And the glyphs he needs can be found on all of the 4 mission types. |
